A New Version of Orpheus

Once there was a man named Orpheus. He played the most beutiful music. One day he met a woman that came out of a tree and married her. One day she went out into the forest and got bitten by a snake. When Orpheus found her she was lready dead. he went down to the underground to find her. He found her and the both of them ran out quickly. After they lived hapily ever after.

Julius Caesar

Julius Ceasar was important becuase he was the leader of the Roman Ampire and army. He was a great leader. When he was in war with Egypt, he married Cliopatra and went back to Rome. After arriving in Rome, the group of the congress planed to kill Julius. When he was killed his wife had to leave Rome. Julius has always been like a hero for Rome. He will always be remebered for his braveness. He is Rome's best leader.

My favorite Greek thinker

I think my favorite greek thinker is Achilles becuase he had courage and had strongness to fight Hector. Achilles was a smart fighter and was a great greek thinker. Hector is not my favorite becuase he was not smart or strong. When he accepted Achilles challenge, i think that was not thinkable and was not smart. Achilles was my favorite greek thinker.

Hector

On the story of Hector he offered Achilles a fight. I think in that case that Hector didn't do the right thing to fight Achilles becuase he was going to die. I think he acepted the offer becuase he wanted to make Troy's people to think he was the best fighter and be a hero. If i was Hector i would not acept the challenge becuase i would know that i will die.

The Myth of Osiris

Once their was a hill in the middle of the waters called ben-ben in chaos. In that hill lived Atum, the first god. When Atum coughed and spat out Shu, the god of air, and Tefnut, the goddness of moisture. They had two children. First, came Geb, the god of the earth, and then came Nut, god of the sky. Shu lifted Nut up so high to conopy over Geb. Nut and Geb had four children named Osiris, Isis, Seth, and Nephthys. Osiris was the king of the Earth and Isis the queen. Osiris was a great king and had power over Earth for many years. Osiris brother Seth was so jealous that he wanted to rule the Earth, so he killed Osiris and took over his power. After Osiris's death, Osiris went down to the underground. Osiris and Isis had a son named Horus. Horus battled Seth and regained the throne and he became king of the Earth and his father down in the underground Osiris became king of the underground.

Gilgamesh

     I saw a video about Gilgamesh. It was cool. The setting was in Uruk in Mesopotamia. The rising action was that Gilgamesh was bored and needed more cities to conquer. The gods looked at Gilgamesh and saw he needed something to do. They sent Ekidu to destroy Gilgamesh, he was much faster and stronger than Gilgamesh. The climax was that Ekidu was eating people and animals. The falling action was that Ekidu found Gilgamesh. They fighted and fighted. The resolution was that they became friends.

     The message of the story is to inform you and tell you about the story of Gilgamesh. It is trying to explain the reasons Gilgamesh was bored. It tells you that Gilgamesh was a great king of Uruk. The message is also to tell you how a well king he was and his problems. He had many problems. It is trying to tell you to be a good king(or person)and to not make mastakes. And if you do correct them.

        I think he was a hero because he saved the people from being killed by Eridu because they became friends. He killed that wolf from the forest. He built huge walls around Uruk to keep them safe. He was also very kind to the people. He was a half king and half god. He was a great king which made him into hero. He was the first hero. He made Uruk into a great city-state of Mesopotamia. 

Problems in Mesopotamia

I am a mesopotamian here in mesopotamia. We are passing through a really hard time. Cities are getting flooded. It only rains a little bit but the rivers get packed with too much water that the cities flood. One of the other problems are that we get overpopulation that we don't have enough water for everybody. We run out to much. Also,are cities are fighting over each other for water. Not everyone has water. Farmers also need water to water the crops. Water is also important because we need water to drink to be able to survive. I hope we find a way soon on how to keep are rivers from flooding and from getting overpopulated and not have enough water for us and the farmers of mesopotamia.
